We have one of those GPS navigators in the car. It has two modes: American and English and it varies its tone depending on the one you choose. We have decided to call 'her' (because she is female) Mandy for the Californian/American voice and Amanda for the stern English lady, who is probably from the upper class. We decided to go a different way than the one chosen by our GPS gal, and let me tell you: they don't like you going the 'wrong way'.  In fact Amanda seemed to be growing sterner and sterner as we obstinately continued to ignore her advice, which include her repeated requests of U-turns back to the one true course. Right now she is not speaking to us, either that or the volume is turned off, I'm not sure which.

We are definitely in the prairies now, where the only music you hear is Country & Western...

Ah, the prairies. Hey look a hill!

Ps: Whilst in Chicago we decided to do some shopping. In our next entry, we will give you a review of the 'iPurchase'...

Comments

When possible, make a legal U-turn.
I know what you mean about the GPS lady getting mad when you ignore her. I have a much ruder name for mine, though!

Can't wait to hear about your new purchase! From decemberchick, on Jul 23, 2007 at 12:02AM
