Last night we stopped in Spokane, after traveling ten hours across two states to get there. Needless to we were both wearily reluctant to make the journey into Seattle. A hearty breakfast at Denny's was required to fortify us for the five hour travail. The food at Denny's is uniquely American: so cheap and so much of it!
After stuffing our food filled bodies into the car, we headed out into what appeared to be rocky, hilly deserts surrounded by farming land -- Again the terrain had change subtly as the miles passed, leaving us curious about what will come next.
Not much else to say about the travel, except that we are glad the bulk of the driving is over! For now we will explore in and around Seattle for the next few days and recharge our batteries.
Six days, 4500 km's, 114 gallons of gasoline, two cases of Red Bull, twelve Starbucks and three wrong turns later and now we're ready to explore Seattle.
